7. Buyer Terms of Service

These provisions apply to users acting as Buyers on Space App. As a Buyer, you use Space App to discover and purchase innovative tech products, often introduced to you by Influencers you follow or by browsing our marketplace. By using Space App as a Buyer, you agree to the following:

7.1. Purchasing Products through Space App

-Role of Space App: When you buy a product on Space App, you understand that you are purchasing from an independent Seller, not from Space App itself. Space App provides the platform to facilitate your purchase (and might handle payment processing), but the Seller is responsible for the product. Any contract of sale is between you and the Seller. Space App is not a party to that sale contract, but we do help enforce basic policies for fairness. -Product Listings: The product information you see on Space App (descriptions, specs, images, prices) is provided by the Seller. We require Sellers to be accurate and honest, but we do not independently guarantee every detail. You should read the full description and any notes carefully before buying. If you have questions, you can use the Platform’s Q&A or messaging to ask the Seller. -*Pricing and Charges: The price shown at checkout is what you agree to pay. It should include the product price and any additional fees like shipping, and possibly taxes if applicable (depending on the Seller’s setup and your location). We strive to show you all costs upfront. If you believe there’s an unexpected charge, contact us or the Seller before confirming payment. By completing the purchase, you authorize Space App (through our payment provider) to charge your selected payment method for the total amount. -Payment Processing: Space App uses secure third-party payment processors to handle your payment (e.g., credit card networks, Apple Pay, etc.). All transactions are encrypted and your payment details are not shared with the Seller directly (the Seller just gets notified that you paid). In some cases, you might be redirected to complete payment (for instance, to a PayPal interface) – if so, those services’ terms apply as well. Space App does not store your full credit card number on our servers; we may store a token or last4 digits via the payment provider for reference. -Order Confirmation: After you place an order, you’ll receive an order confirmation (likely via email or in-app notification) with the details of your purchase. The Seller will also get notified to fulfill the order. Keep this confirmation for your records. If you don’t get a confirmation and your payment was charged, let us know – there could be a rare glitch we need to resolve.

7.2. Receiving Your Product

-Shipping & Delivery: The Seller is responsible for shipping your order to you (or delivering digitally if it’s software or a service). Delivery times can vary based on the Seller’s location, your location, and shipping method. The product listing or the checkout info should give an estimated delivery timeframe. The Seller should provide tracking information once available. You can typically find tracking updates in your order details on Space App or via emails. If your order doesn’t arrive by the estimated date, you can message the Seller for an update or contact Space App support for assistance. -Digital Products/Access: If you purchased a digital product (like an app subscription, e-book, or software license), the Seller should provide you the access details (download link, activation code, etc.) promptly, usually via email or an in-app message. If you have trouble accessing your digital purchase, let the Seller or us know. -Issues with Delivery: If a product arrives damaged, or the package is missing items, notify the Seller immediately (through Space App messaging) and provide photos if applicable. The Seller should work with you on a solution (replacement, missing parts, etc.). Space App can assist in communication if needed. If a package is marked as delivered but you didn’t receive it, check with others in your household or neighbors, and then inform the Seller – sometimes carriers make mistakes, and Sellers can help follow up. While Space App is not the shipping carrier, we care that you get what you paid for and will help facilitate a resolution.

7.3. Returns, Refunds, and Disputes

-Seller’s Return Policy: Before purchasing, you should check if the Seller provided a return policy in the listing. Different Sellers may have different policies. If no specific policy is stated, the default is that if a product is defective or not as described, you are entitled to a remedy (refund or exchange) under most consumer protection laws. If you simply change your mind, the ability to return may depend on the Seller’s policy. -Initiating a Return: To request a return or refund, contact the Seller through Space App’s messaging as soon as possible, ideally within store like 14 or 30 days of receiving the item (depending on any stated window). Be clear about the issue (e.g., “the device isn’t powering on” or “I received a different color than ordered”). The Seller might provide a return shipping label or ask you to ship it back. In some cases, they might not require a return (for low-cost items or if the item is not salvageable). Keep the item in as-received condition until you know what to do. -Refund Process: If a return/refund is approved by the Seller, they will instruct Space App (or our payment processor) to issue the refund to your original payment method. If you paid by credit card, expect the refund to appear within a week or so (timing can vary by bank). You’ll get confirmation of the refund transaction. If the refund is not appearing after a reasonable time, let us know. -Disputes and Mediation: If you and the Seller cannot agree on a resolution (for example, the Seller believes the product was delivered as described, but you strongly disagree), you can escalate the issue to Space App support. We will review the communication and evidence from both sides and try to mediate a fair outcome. While Space App is not a court, we do want to maintain trust. In clear-cut cases (e.g., you received a box of rocks instead of the gadget), we may issue a refund and charge it back to the Seller, even if they resist. In murkier cases, we’ll work with you both on a compromise. Note: Using a credit card gives you chargeback rights too – we encourage resolving via Space App first (as chargebacks can be slow and if abused, can lead to account issues), but you do have that option for fraudulent situations. No Waiver of Legal Rights: Nothing in these Terms limits your legal rights as a consumer. If local law grants you certain non-waivable warranties or cooling-off periods, those still apply. These Terms aim to work in harmony with applicable consumer laws, not override them.

7.4. Interacting with Influencers and Sellers

-Influencer-Driven Purchases: You might be on Space App specifically because an Influencer you trust recommended a product. It’s great to support your favorite creators through purchases that give them commission (and often you might get a discount code as a perk!). Just remember, the Influencer is not the seller of the product, and they likely got the product as a promotion. They should be giving honest opinions, but always consider checking multiple sources if it’s a big purchase. Any issues with the product itself should be directed to the Seller’s customer service rather than the Influencer. That said, if you have feedback (positive or negative) about a product, you can certainly comment on the Influencer’s post or let them know – good Influencers appreciate audience input and can relay feedback to the brand. -Messaging Sellers/Influencers: Space App might allow you to send messages or inquiries to Sellers (for product questions) or even to Influencers (maybe to ask about their experience with the product). Use these features respectfully. For example, it’s fine to ask a Seller “Does this laptop come with international warranty?” or ask an Influencer “Hi, I saw your review; do you think this is good for gaming?”. But do not spam or harass. Influencers are not tech support; keep questions reasonable. Sellers should answer product questions, but they’re not your personal chat buddy – keep it on topic and polite. All messages should abide by the conduct rules in Section 3. If you see inappropriate behavior, you can report it. -Reviews and Ratings: In the near-term, Space App may introduce a system for Buyers to rate products or Sellers, and for Sellers to rate Influencers, etc. If you have the opportunity to leave a review or rating for a product or transaction, do so honestly and fairly. Don’t include offensive language or unrelated grievances. Reviews are important for community trust. Sellers cannot retaliate against you for a negative (but honest) review. If a Seller believes a review is fake or abusive, they can ask Space App to check it. We don’t censor genuine opinions, but we will remove reviews that are clearly spam, contain hate speech, or are entirely off-topic. -Buyer Responsibilities: By purchasing, you agree to use the product as intended and follow any instructions. If a product requires certain safety precautions (for example, a gadget that shouldn’t be disassembled), follow those. We know this is common sense, but just a reminder that once it’s in your hands, use products responsibly. Also, do not try to exploit the system – e.g., purchasing multiple units with no intention to pay (doing chargebacks without valid reason) or abusing return policies to get free use of items is not allowed. Such behavior can result in your account being suspended.

7.5. Privacy and Data (Buyer)

-Personal Information: To make a purchase, you provide personal data like your name, shipping address, and payment details. Our Privacy Policy (Section 10 below) details how this data is used. In short, we share your necessary info with the Seller so they can fulfill the order (they’ll see your name, contact, and address, but not your full payment info). We also use your data to process the payment and to keep records. By buying through Space App, you consent to this transfer of data to the Seller. Sellers are required to use your info only for order fulfillment and not for other marketing unless you opt in. If you feel a Seller misused your data, report it to us. -Transaction Communications: We will send you emails or notifications about your orders (confirmations, shipping updates, etc.). These are transactional and not promotional in nature, so you can’t opt out of them as long as you’re buying (except by not using the Platform). We may also ask for feedback or a review after your purchase – that’s optional.

7.6. Buyer Indemnification

While it’s more common for issues to arise from Sellers or Influencers, we include this to cover all bases: You agree that if your actions on Space App (for instance, a misuse or illegal activity as a Buyer) cause harm to us or others, and a claim is made against Space App because of it, you will indemnify and hold Space App harmless. For example, if you defraud a Seller and it causes them to take legal action that involves us, or if you violate someone’s rights through content you post on the Platform, you’ll cover any costs or damages we incur. (This is similar to the indemnity sections for other roles, see Section 8.5.)

7.7. Buyer Account Suspension

We hope to never have to suspend a buyer – we want you to enjoy shopping! But to be clear: if a Buyer is found committing fraud (like using stolen credit cards, making false claims, harassing others, or other violations of these Terms or law), we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the Buyer’s account. This would mean loss of access to any current orders (they might be canceled) and the inability to make new purchases. We would notify you in such cases and, if appropriate, allow you to appeal or explain. We do this to keep the marketplace safe and trustworthy for Sellers and Influencers as well. (In summary, as a Buyer, you get to discover cool tech products and support your favorite creators. Just be mindful that Sellers are the ones fulfilling orders, so follow their instructions, and don’t hesitate to reach out through Space App if you)
